At this time, we are in the process of booking our 2009 dances.

We will be looking into some new locations to try for this coming year.

There will be many changes for OCS this next year and I hope

our members will continue to support us as they have in the past.

I am sure you have heard that WDS will no longer be having dances

as of the end of this year. This is very disappointing news for everyone,

but it is also understandable. It is getting more expensive every year

to rent halls, and with the increased rental price,

it is harder to break even. I want to let all our members know,

that at this time, we will not be booking any 2009 dances at the

Millard American Legion. In September, I was informed

by the Legion management, they are in the process of being sold,

and will no longer be a rental hall, as it is being bought by a church.

I know that many of our members will be disappointed to hear this,

as the Legion has been the most popular site

for our dances for many years.

The first few months of 2009, we will be having our dances

at the Firefighters Union Hall on 60th and Grover St.

If any of you know of halls,

that you think would be good for an OCS dance,

please give the information to a board member.

We always welcome new suggestions.
